In 2015 through some forgotten inspiration on an equally elusive day and time an idea for a story found a home in my writer’s soul. It seems a mystery of why someone like myself who has journals stacked in countless places wrote nothing of how the two year project, my first novel, began.

Perhaps the reason is because its origins came much earlier in my Sunday school days in the wonderment of a child’s mind. What would it have been like to live in the time of Jesus when He became a baby, child, and man in the land of Israel; to be one who encountered Him, the Daybreak from on High, promised by the prophets of old?

Publication may take longer than the writing and is ongoing. In the meantime, I’ve begun writing a sequel titled Hadar’s Son.
